Mushchamp would be a nightmare. Just dreaming out loud, but we need someone who has a mind for defending the spread. High octane offenses are everywhere anymore, but I'll agree with kaka in that Pelini needs his own recruiting class to really decide if he doesn't have it...before he is tossed. He got hit with the perfect storm this season, but I don't think any of us know what the temperature in the locker room is. I'd say if the locker room gets to dictating how any coach performs, we got bigger problems then we realize.

Maybe Dennis Allen has an assistant looking to leave his mark...

Young hotshot genius coaches all seem to be on the offensive side of the line of scrimmage

Sad but true. No one knows how to defend the spread/RPO.

Hearing about Peyton tailoring the Saints offense to Winston pisses me off when I look at our D. We aren’t sufficiently flexible if the defense of the full collapse we’re seeing is “new system”. All the impediments combined shouldn’t equal the crap we’ve seen.

But somehow I’m more concerned about OC. At least there was a little heart shown early vs AU on D. Our offense looks very unimaginative.

The same thing was said about playing wishbone/Veer offenses of the late 60’s & early 70’s. As more teams ran them, defenses finally figured them out.

There is hope for the future. It’s just not here yet.

A freshman QB making his first road start against a good defense.
