pelini doesnt have the clout for a upper tier job right now... if he leaves, it will be for a mid-major head coachign job...
The NC job would be one for Jimbo, not Bo. Bo's star will shine if LSU wins the Sugar Bowl and he will get a shot at something decent. I don't know that Jimbo is high profile enough to get the NC job; they will probably look for someone getting out of the pros. Norm Chow comes to mind; he could turn a program on, then retire. Jimbo might get a look at Arkansas, because of SEC connections, but I really see Jimbo having to go to a smaller conference to get his first HC job. It is Jimbo's time to start building his rep with his own program. He was overshadowed by Saban, now Miles. Bo came from the outside, did a good job, and the new gun always gets pub. Miles has a history of being an O coach, and now that he has a grasp of the personnel I think he will exercise more control. Jimbo is in a position to get blame if things go bad, and Miles gets credit if LSU has success.
I give him a "hey coach" or an "alright coach" as he comes off the bus and off the field after the game. He doesn't seem to care. Or maybe it is "wait were you speaking to me?" I got that from Archer one time as he was coming off the plane at the end of his tenure. I thought he was going to burn a hole in my skull. At least Miles acknowledges when you speak to him.
It's so funny that we are calling Bo Pelini a great coach. After the Arizona State and Tennessee game, no one wanted him at all. I thought since Day 1 he would be a good coach, but I was questioning myself after the Tennessee fiasco. Hopefully he can stay a few more years and make this LSU defense a force to be reckoned with.
To be fair, the tigers faithful are behind Bo the first few games. The media and the minority on this board are a joke and yet they speaked the loudest. Where did they go? BEAT BAMA :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
