I'm not going to say anyone is stupid or a loser, but I do think it's incredibly ridiculous to have already formed such a strong opinion of Pelini after just 1 game, ESPECIALLY considering the circumstances surrounding when/where/how the game was played. At least give the guy 2 or 3 games before you start calling for his head, or reserve firebopelini.com (did somebody do that already? if so, pretty darn sad).

I remember well many people on here tearing down Saban & Fisher right after the Oregon State game last year b/c the team played so terribly. One game after a national championship and people on here were questioning our coaches.

It's kinda funny, really...how much people actually think they know.

I agree with Bo....the detractors on this board are a fine example of not knowing what you're talking about. I'm surprised that with all the so called defensive knowledge being spewed on this board that some of you weren't considered for the DC position....or at least get an interview...what a waste, imagine what our defense would look like if some of you made the calls.

And you can save your responses about having an opinion. It's one thing to have a take on the game and be unhappy with how the defense played, it's another to start spouting about schemes and coverages when you really have no clue. If you are going to make those statements, at least back them up with a TRUE scheme of your own that you would have employed if you were the coach. All I read here is opinions saying the likes of "we should have rushed more or the corners should have jammed the recievers." Bo's right, they were in max protect, we rushed four leaving us seven to cover 3 recievers....shouldn't have been a problem. I guess I need to keep reminding myself that these boards are filled with some young kids who really don't know much and probably never played the game, instead of getting bent out of shape over the dribble.

Believe me, I'm no expert but I do coach youth football and actually have Coach Mile's two sons in our program. On a side note, they are truly wonderful people and I'm proud to have them at LSU and I have great confidence in the Coach and believe he will be tremendously successful....

He is right. You people might no what is happening on tv but you have no clue what is happening on the field. It isn't as simple as just saying do this or do that.

I am not saying that Bo knows more about defense than everybody in the world, i am just saying that he knows more about it than you or any other fan sitting on the couch on the weekends.

Funny how people will twist the crap out of other's words...

to make them them look bad, shows me that they are the ones who think we're all stupid.

These are thye kinds of statements I'm looking at. If he blames the players only and doesn't take responsibility along with the other coaches, than we'll have a problem. The guy knows he is in a pressure situation and will work hard to correct everything, anyone who does not believe that is not thinking correctly. Think he would get a HC job if his defense performs like that all season, get real.

A few points here from my opinion.

I may not know how to build a car but I have my opinions on what a piece of crap is and do not call people stupid because they disagree and buy that model. A lot of fans think the defense with no corrections or adjustments was a piece of crap and because of that they get called stupid. That reminds me of a bucket load of 5th graders.

BP can quieten his critics next weekend or he can give them life but there is nothing wrong with a healthy debate about the day view of the new coachig staff.

Very few people here are stupid and all have opinions. The rest of the year will point to whose opinions were accurate.

I think people can look at the results and say something wasn't right. 600 yards of total offense........I don't have to know the difference between a Hawk and Sam to know that people were way too far off receivers. I watched the replay and no receivers were touched on every play until they caught the ball. I agree that's hard to get pressure on a guy that is taking a 3 step drop and throwing. But you know that a guy taking a 3 step drop is not usually gonna throw it 50 yards either.

Next, when Keller was hit in the face, on 1st down of the last drive, he didn't complete a pass after that. I don't think he threw 3 incompletions in a row all night except right then.

Sounds just like DiNardo and Tepper after getting drilled by 30 to Ole Miss. "We know more than you yahoos."
