My enthusiasm for Bluebell probably makes it sound like I eat a lot but really only about once or twice a month. I get on these mini addictions like a few years ago I went through a tin of cinnamon Altoids every day. Then it was a 6 pack of mini Butterfingers, then popcorn. Right now there's a convenience store I stop at 3 or 4 times a week. They sell salted peanuts in the shell and I buy one every time I stop.

blue bell ice cream tastes great (tin roof is awesome), i just wish they didnt put all that crap in it. youd figure since they only sell within 50miles or so of a creamery that they wouldnt have to have 45 ingredients. i make mine at home with 5 or so.
Bad news. When I saw there was no Bluebell on the shelf a couple of weeks ago in Matherne's I asked the manager when they would have it. He said as of now only one of Bluebell's creameries is in operation and they can't even make enough to keep Houston supplied.
It went on sale on Monday in DFW. I stopped by my neighborhood Kroger on the way home and picked up a half-gallon of "The Great Divide" (half chocolate/half homemade vanilla.) The only flavors available were that one, chocolate, homemade vanilla, cookies and cream, and buttered pecan. The limit was 2 per customer, and the cashier said she was sick to death of seeing Blue Bell. There is still some of the half gallon left, but my daughters have enjoyed some Blue Bell. Unfortunately (or fortunately) for me, the ice cream wasn't so great for me, another food that my lack of gall bladder gives me fits.
