Most females (in fact males too) don’t have so many unique life experiences like you’ve had. It was a comp, silly.

Dude it's one of the most awesome things ever just to witness. I can only imagine being in the cockpit. I'm so jealous of those dudes and lesbians. Didn't everyone dream of being a fighter pilot. I still do.

In my neighborhood, I was Bert Jones but my comment was deeper than that.

When I was a kid my dream was to be a F-16 pilot. I had the movie Iron Eagle to thank for that.

In your mothers mind you were Bert Jones, to the kids picking teams you were the wa'wa'wa'waterboi.

A few years ago I was in Virginia Beach for a couple of months. The hotel was in the flight path of the jets taking off and landing at the Oceana Naval Air Station. You could hear a plane overhead every 30 seconds 24 hours a day.

But not pieces. Ever been to Ft Carson? I'm not sure if it is still there but I believe back in the 80s a mechanic wanted to order a part for a jeep.

He fat fingered a single digit in the NSN and ended up with a battleship anchor. It used to sit at the front gate.

What is remarkable is how no one in the system figured out there isn't a body of water large enough to put a battleship in yet still sent the anchor from Pensacola.

I used to occasionally play golf at the course at Ft. Carson. I don't recall seeing the anchor.
I spent most of my AF career in Logistics. I can see how that would happen.
