It's fleet week in the Bay Area. And why would there be Navy jets? I don't think you're likely to see much Chair Force activity in Annapolis next year.
Living here in Bossier City, the sound of freedom flies overhead everyday. Our neighborhood is roughly 6-7 miles from Barksdale, AFB... we're right under their flight path back to base. On occasion we see A10's and F16's blasting through the clouds. Just an awesome daily display of 'Murica.
I'm jelly. Back in the day before Clinton started to dismantle the military bases in CA, I drove past MCAS El Toro every day on my way home from work. They would regularly be doing touch-and-goes and I loved it. When they flew over the Saddleback range and the echoes would hit my hood, I loved it. The Marines and their families who lived in the area were great neighbors. Things definitely changed when they left.
