You can look at Harry an Rory Reid's ties to the Nevada land also. They, along with several other democrats, stand to make millions on a solar farm. They've already used the BLM to secure lands for companies, and themselves, doing land deals that take private and federal lands.

You keep repeating this, but you need to look it up because it is bullshit. Harry Reid conducting business in his own state is no surprise. Anybody can lease BLM land for grazing, mining, logging, wind and solar farms, and other purposes that are consistent with the BLM guidelines. This is a made-up, phony, bogus excuse for a scandal.

The site of the proposed solar farm that he was a partner in was 177 fucking miles from Bundy's ranch and 213 miles from the Gold Butte area where Bundy was illegally grazing cattle on public land.

Moreover, Reid's Chinese financiers backed out on the deal over a year ago and the construction will not happen.

"Trespass cattle". Secondary mitigation? What's that all about?

this guy is a liar at best, the right wing is eating this shit up.
The rule of law only suits a lot of conservatives when its beneficial to them and when its not, lets scream liberty and freedom and grab guns and get Sean Hannity behind the cause.

    what a fucking joke.

The guy owes money he should pay it. End of story. I doubt that his cattle ate up 1 million worth of Nevada finest tumbleweed so they need to just settle it.

The Texas issue should get interesting

The truth is the truth. Beck is a doofus, but smart enough to preserve his credibility by not jumping on bullshit bandwagons.

If A feller grazed his cows on your place and refused to pay you like he agreed and refused to remove them, what would you do? You'd remove them yourself and keep them until he paid up, right? His cows were trespassing on un-leased public land.

Mitigation? There is a BLM policy to try to mitigate the damage to wildlife caused by solar development. Some of it is near the sites of these bird-roasting solar mirrors. This is called "primary mitigation". In instances where there could be harm done to wildlife in areas distant from solar developments, the federal government refers to this as “secondary mitigation.

In instances where there are solar projects that may or may not harm local flora and fauna, BLM tries to offset this damage by taking up various initiatives to ensure the long-term health of the land, such as planting grass or developing new water sources for local wildlife on other suitable BLM land.

But several private groups, including the Western Watersheds Project, Friends of Nevada Wilderness, Friends of Gold Butte and Friends of Joshua Tree Forest, say they don’t believe Gold Butte can be used to help offset possible damage from solar developments, such as the ones involved in the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone project, because any attempt to introduce new initiatives in the area would likely be destroyed by Bundy’s nearly 900 “trespass cattle."

So, while the project was still being considered, the un-leased Gold Butte land was being considered for a secondary mitigation area meaning that the illegally grazing cattle had to be removed. When the project was abandoned, it was no longer necessary to remove the cattle and it became an issue of getting Bundy to pay back the taxpayers for his exploitation of the land.

So then why did the BLM dig mass graves and slaughter some of his cows, then dump them in said mass graves? There are pictures to document this. Like I said before, I agree he should pay BUT the method that was used to try and get him to do so was nothing short of over reaction amd intimidation.
