I dont know for sure Red. It seems like it was when President Bush spoke at Commencement at LSU or something like that. Blanco wasnt there because she was at another engagement. Dont know this for a fact but seem to remember a post on it.
Snub? The May 2004 commencement address at LSU was one stop on a Bush political reelection campaign swing through the south. Our two democratic senators didn't attend either. Political party officials do not generally stand for photo ops with the opposition candidate during an election year. It might be perceived as endorsement. It works the same way for both parties.
I have a hard time picturing Bush giving the commencement address at southern university. It isn't hard at all to picture blanco there.
There is the problem. I stated the exact thing in an earlier post. If it don't look like a redneck, then a redneck won't vote for them. What stupid phucks. I say burn them all.
Would you rather have to put up with all these gay people pushing their Gay Marriage crap here in California. Give them their civil union just dont call it a marriage. I know it is predudice but dammit flaming gay people make me sick to my stomach. Get their ungodly sexual preference out of politics and let them take their sex back in the bedroom.
I'd rather face that problem over total ineptitude as we see in office now. I am glad I don't live in Louisiana anymore, frankly.
