Black pots & McWare (Magnalite) pots

    Moved this from the other thread, since it is more appropriate here. If anyone is still looking for magnalites, you get them online at WalMart.

    Be aware that the Wal-Mart "Magnalite" is made by World Kitchen who has been manufacturing some cast aluminum pans in China under the brand name of Magnalite ( which look like the original Magnalite but are of different materials and sizes).

    Magnalite parts from World Kitchen do NOT fit the original Magnalite made in the USA.

    Ahhhh so it falls under the "If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is" clause. Thanks for the info Red.

    I replaced my old set of magnalites about 2 years ago. Don't know when the changed occurred, but the set I got at Walmart looks, feels and cooks just like my old set. Zero difference.

    I'll let you know if they last another 20 years or so like my old set.

    Well hurry up, lol. I need to know before I drop the cash on these supposed "imposter" magnalites.
