    I understand that there are zealots like this organizer. But damned if I understand why 30 football players would hold their team hostage for the sake of this guy's cause. Team unity will go right out of the window if they forfeit games or if they have to play without a third of the team. Bad feelings all around that did not have to happen. And a million fans around the state looking for scapegoats. This could get very ugly.

    I read that some 60 or so, including all the coaches, were along for the ride. But I still say that if they were 9-0 instead of 4-5, they wouldn't be doing this. Forfeiting Saturday's game against BYU would have cost the school $1M so maybe they figured they had a financial edge the University would give in to.

    The President's good-bye speech had some chuckle-worthy passive aggressive comments.

    You couldn't be more wrong, I am very aware that racism exists and that it takes place daily. Where I have a problem is when every negative interaction between white and black is instantly labeled racism. I also have a problem with so many thinking that only whites can be racists. Believe me, I've met my share of both white and black racists. Lastly I have a major problem when any time anyone claims racism the accused is instantly assumed guilty. These days people are so super sensitive to being labeled racist because mostly of what has happened in places like Ferguson. What happened in Ferguson does not help solve the problem of racism. What happened today does not help solve the problem of racism. Screaming racism every time a white and a black have a disagreement does not help solve the problem of racism.

    it doesnt happen every time, black people write it off far more than you realize and yes racism exist in every race.
    guy a work made another racist comment about interracial couples , to another white guy, who is married to a black woman and did first guy didnt know it. they came to tell me about it and I said so what, talk to him about it and let him know you were offended and move on. I really didnt care about it because at the end of the day, thats his thoughts and feelings. He isnt stopping me or any other person of any other race from thriving.

    I guess im different or was raised different, if its not an systematic or institutional problem, then its a case by case basis of an event and you resolve it and move the fuck on. You cant legislate peoples hearts and thats a big problem I have with the GOP, you cant legislate personal morality, only make laws against the subject and let the courts sort it out.

    Who cares if racism happened? It's a free country people can be racists if they want.
