Bit of an embarassment today though.

 

Shocking it was.

 

It all worked out.

 

Funny that you posted today when you haven’t for a while. For a long time I wanted to visit western NC in the fall to see the color change. I was always thinking the Asheville area until you began posting those beautiful pictures from Boone. Well, I am writing this at an Airbnb house we rented 14 miles from Boone (Deep Gap). We went to town for lunch and groceries and took some time to walk down the main drag and nearby campus. A really nice place except for the traffic. I even bought an App State shirt as a souvenir. Rain forecast for tomorrow, but I am hoping to get in a few good hiking trails before we leave on Tues.

 

I tried the link and it just directed me to a Nebraska sports page. No mention of App state.

 

Since I can post tonight, gotta ask, did you enjoy your time in the high country?
Hope you got to eat at the Daniel Boone Inn. That place is legendary but I have heard it's gotten to be hit and miss. Best country ham biscuits I've ever had.
