I think it works this way.
There is a matter of character, value, moral, decency, whatever you want to call it.
Naturally a politician is going to embrace whatever they believe will get them votes.
Then, if the politician violates one of the character, values, etc., its not the politician who is deemed unworthy, its the value, moral, etc. that is deemed unworthy.

It is this simple: when Tauzin was negotiating the drug prescription bill, he was working for the drug companies. He fought against states and cities from being able to get drugs from Canada and for them HAVING to buy directly from drug companies at much higher prices.

He protected drug company profits and that was his primary mission. Tauzin is bought and paid for.

Tauzin was giving corporate blowjobs (figuratively) to drug company executives for years. Now he gets his payoff--a $1 million a year job.

I still say Tauzin should manuever that job to his wife.
    It pays just as well.
    Case in point.
These are the companies and groups represented by Linda Daschle, a lobbyist and wife of new Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D.:

    • American Airlines.
    • American Association of Airport Executives.
    • American Concrete Pavement Association.
    • American Trucking Associations.
    • Boeing.
    • Centennial Airport, Englewood, Colo.
    • Hopkins International Airport, Cleveland.
    • L-3 Communications, makers of cockpit technology.
    • Loral Space and Communications.
    • Northwest Airlines.
    • Schering-Plough, a pharmaceutical company.
    • United Technologies, a defense contractor.

That is all slander and very not true. I worked for thr Honerable Tauzin and know he met his second wife years after his divorce. There was no infidelity. It's very easy to make things up when your identity is protected by the internet. Shows the kind of integrity liberals have.
