Yup and none of the stuff in that movie really happened here, I think it actually was supposed to be UNC that game took place at but for whatever reason the writers chose us. There was a player on that Syracuse team who actually came out and apologized for the film saying he never had an experience like that here, from what the old timers on our board say the squad we had that year was pretty miserable so no one really cared all that much that the Cuse was coming. They also conveniently leave out that Davis was from Reading, PA which isn't far from here and that Schwartzwalder the Cuse coach actually played here. Ahhhhh Hollywood.
It doesn't matter who the coach was or what school he was at. Alabama was pretty much beating everyone during that time. The years under McClendon, while not great, were pretty dang good. Much better than the years were after we let him go.
The Noise at Marshall had nothing to do with how we played. Nice try though. Im sure you guys have never had a team not as good as you play their best game of the year and make it a close game. UNC maybe? They had 8 starters out on defense and they almost came back and won that game. We BEAT Marshall. Good teams find a way to win no matter the circumstances. I guess you guys are right. We are a great program that has been around for quite a while but because your the big mighty LSU we should be scared. I guess I need to call the team and tell them not to show up since your crowd noise is so scary. We have never played a big game before.
Uh, we BEAT UNC too, and everybody else who's lined up in front of us so far. Not sure why all the animosity in your post, you are on an LSU forum ya know. :yelwink2:

I am aware im on an LSU forum. is the noise on here supposed to scare me like your stadium. opcorn: its all in good fun. Just as usual no one gives us any respect. Most cant come up with any good reason to talk **** about our team or our fans so they just throw out the ol "They all bang their sisters"
Well I happen to love watching WV play when I can and do have a lot of respect for your program as many others here do also- from what I gather. I'm SURELY not counting this game as a gimme by any means.
