Its gonna get real interesting since LA will lose at least one seat in the House. With the population dent in NO, and in particular the displacement to St. Tammany (whose population was already understated), the 2010 census is going to create quite the fight. The black voting base has been seriously eroded in NO. Even Mary Landrieu could be in trouble (which wouldn't hurt my feelings).
They deserve it for electing someone they knew was a crook. If that's the kind of representation you want you don't deserve to be represented. JMHO
That's how we do it here. If you're not a crook, you can't get elected. Hell, we'd vote for Edwards again if he could run. Bob Odom?
No way can they Gerrymander a black majority district with only six seats. But it will be tried. Remember the Cleo Fields district that ran from Arkansas to Geismar. It got tossed by the courts.
Freezer Bill has evidently stepped down from his committee position, temporarily at least. Maybe he can convince them, as Edwards did, that the money belongs to his wife. What was that Korean dude's name ? Tong Sun or something like that.....

I agree, but that should be his call. I don't believe the Democrats should expell him from Congress since he has not been convicted. That would be tantamount to stamping him guilty before a jury has done so. But I do wish he would resign. There is no question that his situation and how the Demos should respond to it will create some friction withing Democratic ranks.
