Our biggest rival is Texas. OU fans and Texas fans can't stand each other for the most part. Big game played on a neutral field in Dallas at the Cotton Bowl each year. Half the stadium is decked out in Burnt Orange the other half in Crimson. I've heard Alabama/Auburn is a huge HATE rival. I've heard some restaurants and bars won't even let the opposing fans enter through the door. That sounds like a damn good rivalry if you ask me.
Historically Tulane, but now that's dead. Ole Miss takes their place. However, Auburn is our most hated rival over the past 20 years. I do think that Auburn/Alabama hate each other more than anyone, followed by OU/Texas and Florida/Georgia. I know Michigan and Ohio St is big but I've never sensed true hatred between them.

it's all in the state... if there is another Big university in your state, then you (university) want to always look better than them. it's true Okie's biggest rival might be Texas, but Texas' biggest rival will be A&M. it just will. Ole Miss will always have Moo U. the barners always have the tide. ...makes me think how Really messed up the state of Florida is, with 3 major universities. granted, only now is the university down in northern cuba playing high-caliber opponents on a consistent basis, but they have a long string of winning. the Louisiana State University should probably go with tulane as its biggest rival, but man are they bad. if only they were a mediocre team! i reserve my rival status for the candy apple hogs of fayetteville (sp?). in the Saban/Matt Jones era, those games have meant something. ...and there is a shiny boot to win. peace, love, and icee, MPF
For the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, biggest rival for me was Alabama. If you were going to win the SEC, you had to beat Bama, which we seldom did. In the 00's (Aughts), I'd say Auburn. I've never been there, but stuff I've heard on this board has poisoned me on them. SEC West rival. Who do you have to beat to win the SEC West? Auburn.
