Well he's only been at LSU for 2 years. How many from his class has done a whole lot on the field? This is a stupid thread & I'm done with it!

That's a good point... I can't think of anyone from that class that has lived up to the hype yet.

As long as you stick to the argument at hand, football, you can make a case for yourself. Bringing track into it doesn't support your argument though.

Not that much more, and Early still hasn't lived up to the hype.

    no where near a bust.

he was great. looked like LSU was going to kill the SEC then he got injured (were undefeated early i think). 14ppg is good for a PG if he's getting 7 assists.

Ryan Miller,Glen Dorsey, Claude Wrotten and Chevis Jackson have all been pretty good players and Craig Steltz played pretty good ball this year too.

EDIT: and I missed Brett Helms

Actually the "argument at hand" is "Biggest Recruiting Busts of all time" & I don't think current players who have been out of HS a year & half qualify. Is RP a bust if he doesn't play next year or he looks bad in mop-up duty? If the palyer is still current he has an opportunity to excel.

The track stuff was just talking about the 4.2 straight line comment. I don't think Xavier is a shame of the tremendous gift he's been given by the man up-stairs.

5* WRs ought to be having 50 catch, 1,000 yard seasons. My 4.2 comment was really a backhanded criticism of his route running, kick returning, and receiving ability.

Re: Biggest Recruiting Busts off all time!!!

You got some wrong info on Leonard "Moon" Valentine. Moon was the starting QB at Nicholls for the majority of his career but did get hurt towards the end. He threw for over 3700 yards in his two-year career. Also, I was at his first practice at LSU and he was wowing folks with his arm and his ability.

Also for those who say Josh Booty was a bust? How can you consider a guy who was an All-SEC quarterback be a bust? Plus Booty left early for an NFL career after playing minor and Major League Baseball. Damn, wish I could've been a bust like that. And as a sidebar, he also married a Barker Beauty who is smoking hot. His wife ran track at LSU.

Some guys that come to mind right off the top of my head, Jamal Hill LB out of Washington. Was suppose to be all world and got booted out for dope smoking. How about this group of RB's signed by Curley: David Butler, Robert Davis, Jay Johnson, Artie Moore and Robert Toomer. This group of RBs was suppose to be the greatest assemblage of talent in the world...ooops, didn't quite work out that way!

Cecil didn't play much because he broke his leg. Not because he was an idiot.
