Ok so what is his "racist agenda"? BTW, you aren't supporting your argument if you ignore the "actual" facts. You are making your self look very small honestly and hurting your point of view if you fail to acknowledge the entirety of it.
sigh.... https://www.politifact.com/article/2019/apr/26/context-trumps-very-fine-people-both-sides-remarks/ In Context: Donald Trump’s ‘very fine people on both sides’ remarks (transcript) "Reporter: (Inaudible) "… both sides, sir. You said there was hatred, there was violence on both sides. Are the --" Trump: "Yes, I think there’s blame on both sides. If you look at both sides -- I think there’s blame on both sides. And I have no doubt about it, and you don’t have any doubt about it either. And if you reported it accurately, you would say." Reporter: "The neo-Nazis started this. They showed up in Charlottesville to protest --" Trump: "Excuse me, excuse me. They didn’t put themselves -- and you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. You had people in that group. Excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name."
I did You did not. This is exactly what we were talking about, you can't take a comment that was NOT racist and use it out of context to say that it is. You can "believe" that it is, you can "assume" that it is but that doesn't make it so.
your so full of shit...you guys are splitting hairs. you know damn good and well what HWR is talking about. Trump has a long history of painting the racial lines going back to 1973 when Nixon's DOJ sued the Trump Corporation for violating the Fair Housing Act by ignoring black applicants. What about the Central Park Five who were exonerated by DNA evidence but Trump still took out a full page ad calling for the death penalty. He still refuses to admit they were innocent until this day. Trump also started the birther movement that sought to discredit President Obama as an American citizen. He's called African-Americans lazy and said that hispanics are murderers and rapists. Earlier, @kcal insisted that we have to look at things in their context. In the context of the past 47 years Donald Trump's actions speak louder than any words that might insinuate the contrary. So in all actuality it is you who appears small and narrow minded because you refuse to see the "facts" that a plurality of American voters see. HWR isn't hurting his point of view, he's pointing out the obvious. His four points about why Trump could lose the election are spot on. If you think that Trump can just keep doing what he's doing and get re-elected. By that very same token, you cannot take one thing out of context and use it to proclaim that he isn't a racist. Trump has a 47 year history of saying and doing racist things.
This is getting tedious. It does not matter what I think, do, or say. It is 100% certain that a) Trump is PERCEIVED by many as a racist and b) his remarks about "both sides" strengthened that perception. This whole thing started as I was raising four areas where Trump has hurt himself with those outside his base. I have not said anyone on this forum believed that, I did not say anyone on this forum was a racist, I did not say anyone on here was not for Trump.
OK. At this point I surrender. Anyone wanting or needing to be right/win, I decree you are right and won.
This is true, it is spouted all over the leftist media and big mouth bass just like yourself take the hook all the way to your spleen And yet you use that very remark, out of context to insinuate that he is in fact a racist but yall are too stupid to read and/or listen attentively
