Well, if you consider Reggie Bush a wide out based on his receptions, then you may as well consider Joseph Addai. After all, he had 40 receptions, which is more than most third and fourth wide outs in the NFL.

In response to your assertion, I shall quote Mark Twain.

“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics”

Last season Reggie Bush had 155 carries with the football and 88 receptions. Most of the elite receivers in the game catch the ball about 100 to 130 times a year. Most elite running back carry the rock about 300-375 times a season. They also have between 25 and 45 receptions usually. Elite wide receivers often at most run the ball 5-10 times a year.

So to suggest that Bush should be considered a wide receiver because in one game, his last, he catch the ball more than he ran it is ridiculous. Especially when one considers that the Saints trailed throughout that contest and trailed heavily toward the end and thus abandoned the run in favor of the pass.

    C'mon.

Now, if you had told us that Reggie should be considered a wide receiver because he actually attends the wide receiving meetings as well as the running back meetings (which he often does) then you may have had more of a case..

I think Brian summed it up pretty well.

    Anybody remember Keith Byars?

Did I miss something??? Did we warp back to April (when these "pissing contest" discusssions are usually in full-force to do the season being 4 months away).

OK, I already knew I was right:hihi: ...but you're mistaken about the thread asking about "receivers". Unless it has been edited...it PLAINLY asks "Re: Better WR's in the NFL USC or LSU".:thumb: Like "itch" said...try to recruit RB as a WR in your FFL...good luck with that.:( Thurman Thomas, Roger Craig, nor Reggie Bush are WR's. They are RB's with great hands and ability to take it to the hizzle on a screen. But they are still RB's. How many carries did Bush have last year? And now Colston? Anyone? Buehler??
