Granted and yes you can't really ask a new coach to keep coaches he doesn't want. However in my mind if a new coach can't see how good Aranda is I don't want him
Its not about that. But a HC might want a system. Type of play. It might not jive. There are other good DC's. Not like Aranda is Saban out there. He could be and he is working with a patchwork Dline, but you just can't make a HC keep him. Again, would love it if he stayed.
Let's see, they never found the end zone yet somehow the D is suspect? I get it, not the 85 bears but still...
I guess. I think Key is a Jason Babin. He does get a ton of sacks, but I don't see him doing much else. He's not strong against the run, and if he doesn't evade the tackle on his first move, he's done. I'm not saying he's not playing well, but I do think what Aranda's getting out of him isn't special given his skill set. One of my beefs with Aranda is that sometimes he only puts 6 in the box against a 3 WR set, and he ends up leaving one side totally susceptible to having the TE set the edge on the run. I think we saw that a few times where Auburn's OL just out flanked us and it made for easy yardage.
We had one turnover, and we are probably the second most talented defensive unit in the country. With that much talent, I think it's appropriate to expect some more. Think of how quickly we gave up two TDs to Moo St. last week.
Yea they are too slow for that. Also our CBs have no ball skills. They can make it look like the WRs are covered, but they aren't going to make a good play on the ball most of the time.
not true. ours is a much bigger buffoon who lost with much more talent. defense played shitty between the 20s then bent but didnt break. big props for that. aranda nor les getting a pass here however. they both need revamping-offensive line and defensive line.
