Well I don't think you are supposed to. I remember a long time ago I had to pick up a buddy from a greyhound trip and he was drunk after getting off...Said this shady dude brought some beer on board and they were taking turns chugging beers in the bathroom...haha.
Whenever I drive home(Baton Rouge) I take 85 to 65 to 10 to 12(avoid new orleans). I make the trip in 6 1/2 to 7 hours. I don't obey speed laws though, especially when I'm driving through all 3 billion trees in alabama.
One time I gave my aunt a ride to the bus station and when she was about to get on the bus they were thowing this drunk guy off who had a few bottles of cheap wine. I don't think you could get away with bringing an ice chest full of beer but you could probably get away with a flask of liquor. Of course you can have all the cold beer you want in your SUV but you wouldn't want to get pulled over by the cops.

Don't go the mapquest way. Take 10 to 65 to 85. If you type in the mapquest directions from Biloxi to the exact address you should be ok.
