https://lsutigerswire.usatoday.com/...recruit-from-every-state-since-the-year-2000/ I didn't look to see who wrote the article but they must be very young. A LOT wrong with this list in my opinion. Take the 1st one for instance. They picked Purple Drank as the best player we've recruited out of alabama. I think I would have said Quan Hope it generates a lot of debate
That went to LSU, I think its wrong. Russell Shepherd the best we've gotten out of TX? I'm getting older and my memory is fading but wasn't Harvey Williams from TX? Jamal Adams?
Shepard is one of the highest ranked recruits of all time. I think he’s in our top 3 or 4 all time. He was supposed to be a game changer.
Ok so I read it again, best recruit since 2000. I missed the year first time through. I read "best recruit" as what did he do on the field wearing P&G and RS doesn't have much to show. Not sure why Myles hid him so much but I would for sure have Adams ahead of Shep in production. Hell I'd put J. Lee ahead of Shep
Am I the only one that's confused by the subject article. It says "Best LSU football recruit from EVERY state since 2000", but only lists, what, 20 states?
Its not a review of how they played once they got here, its just a list of the top ranked recruits coming out of high school. The "writer" went to 247sports and made the list from their database. There are a couple of guys on this list who are in the current class and haven't played a down for LSU yet.
