    Can you say 401K or IRA? how bout Mutual funds, nest eggs are what 10 year olds have. And you think I'm drinking? good grief, are you from Auburn?

    I tip my hat to JM.

    For a true freshman to go in to the game in those circumstances and get the job done.

    Russell proved tonite that he is the REAL deal.....enormous pressure on this kid....and after completing a few passes....he even showed a swagger...u gotta love that!

    This kid is special. He is our starting QB. Long live LSU!

    The original question is for "best performances" or "positives". Although we have alot of work to do, I will give the "best performance" to our team. Our guys never quit and we still found a way to win the game. Kinda reminded me of the Florida game last year except we won. I'm not taking anything away from Oregan State because they are good and came to play. I believe that our team will learn from this game. There is a long season ahead and we will face many more challenges. Its an old cliche that is posted on this forum and one Saban uses often, however, we can only take 'em one at a time.

    Regarding positives, I would have to concur that Dwayne Bowe showed some metal in this game. Also Jamarcus Russel. His first experience as a college player turned out to be right in the middle of an alley fight. He made some plays and showed some potential. Its not like he came in for "mop up duty" after we had a big lead against a lesser opponent. This will be a good experience for him to hopefully grow from.

  6. agreed, i saw a lot of brief flashes of brilliance from alot of players. we were sloppy and inconsistent for the most part but i fully expect for us to be a totally different team later in the year.

    Kyle Williams seemed to be all over the field. LaRon Landry seemed to pick up where he left off, too.

    Bowe was the player of the game for LSU, for sure. But Joseph Addai also caught five balls for 65 yards and on his two runs at RB, he led all rushers with 6.5 yards a carry. Jimbo will be getting the ball in Addai's hands more often.

    Liquored up, huh!

    LSU -18/OSU -------------> Take LSU (LSU 26, OSU 6)----->LOSS
    Wash. St -1/N. Mex -------> Take Wash. St (WSU by 10)--->WIN
    Okla -33/Bowling Green ----> Take Okla (OU by 50)---------->LOSS
    Cal -12.5/Air Force --------> Take Cal (Cal by 21)----------->WIN
    Arkansas -21/N. Mex. St ---> Take AR (AR by 35)------------>WIN
    Texas -26/North Texas -----> Take TX (TX by 35)----------->WIN
    SC-6/Vandy----------------> Take Vandy with 6------------->LOSS

    Bad week for me ... LSU, OKLA, Vandy ... Three losers ATS ...
    CAL, ARK, TX, WASH ST ... 4 winners ... 57% ATS ... my worst week ever ...

    and it isn't over ... I've got TENN too ...

    How's your math? Ginko Biloba buddy, those brain cells are going. :shock:

    go check Pete Fiu on Collegefootball.com ... he's 53% ATS for 2003 ... now there's a world beater for you ... or you can pay out the azz for 60% (TOPS) on these Vegas sites ... I was 84% ATS in 2003 with my picks ... a very sweet year ... sweet as sugar :hihi:
