Who do you guys think was the best High school player in LA that you've seen? Giants/Colts are playing on Sunday which reminded me that I played against both those Manning QBs in high school. They were both good, but best I played against was this quarterback for St. Pauls (Nilo Sylvan). He was ridiculous.
Ya, I went to high school with Nilo. He was awesome. I think he coaches high school football somewhere now. Nilo definitley was a bigger gamebreaker than Eli in high school. I remember Kendrick Allen from Bogalusa lining up at running back against us. He was like 300 lbs and very fast. It was not an easy afternoon.
I'm probably just flat out wrong here but I thought the Mannings played at the same high school at different times? How long were you in high school?
I thought the same thing when I read this... How can you play against both Mannings? Must have gotten a few years exta eligibility. Or the age difference isnt what I thought.
Peyton and Eli both went to Newman. Peyton finished in 1994/95 Eli finished in 1999/00 SO it is possible.
I totally phased out on that one. Mannings were only born five years apart so he could have played against both. My apologies.
The best player from my high school and maybe the state was Warrick Dunn, Travis Minor wasnt too shabby either. The best I played against was Bradie James and Shyrone Carrie when he was a QB at Shaw, we still beat them 35-0.
