i think thats why i said either way. im aware what they are. theyre called pigs in the blanket, regardless.
There's a street vendor on Water Street in downtown Manhattan that uses the best chili I've ever had with sauteed onions. I get 3 for lunch. I like the Hebrew National beef dogs from the supermarket with canned Hormel (no beans). I broil the dogs until they start to turn black and crack. In the houston airport at Terminal B (around gate 67, I think) the serve a gigantic dog. I add mustard and relish and it's great.
thats good stuff. my dad used to buy that wolf chili thinking it was best. hormel no beans kills it. good on bread even wo the dog in a pinch or at the camp.
have you ever seen a pampered chef recipe? i swear, every one of em calls for one of three things.... crescent rolls cream cheese, or cool whip as far as hot dogs, i like nathans dogs, followed by hebrew national.
I can't do regular hot dogs any more if I am cooking. It's all about the New Orleans Style brats. Those things are like candy.
If you are ever in the Chicago Land area find a place called Portillo's Hands down best hot dog in the US....
