I did like the Lucky Dogs in the French Quarter but I haven't had one for a few years. Never been to Dodger Stadium but I have heard for years that the Dodger Dogs are good.
It all depends on the vendor with Lucky Dogs. Some take some pride in their work and others . . . are Ignatius J. Reilly.
When i was a kid in school, they used to serve pig-in-a-blanket for lunch on Thursdays. It was a hot dog wrapped in bread dough and baked inside a fresh bun. That was good stuff.
If you're ever in upper east Tennessee for whatever reason, go to a Pal's Sudden Fast Food and get a hot dog. They aren't really the best in the world, but they are addictive for some reason. I swear they put cocaine in them :hihi:. You can get a chili bun too, which is just chili, mustard, and onions on a bun. SO GOOD. Pal's is all about FRESH food so they dump any unsold "frenchie fries" after 10 minutes. You will not get any fries older than 10 minutes.
In my opinion, Pink's Hot Dogs in Los Angeles has the best chili dogs. My personal favorite is the Bacon Chili Cheese Dog. Of course the Three Dog Night is pretty good too...
I make those crescent dogs @ my house from time to time when kids are coming over to eat dinner. The kiddos like them. They can be made with or without cheese (sorry, Red, I know how you feel about cheese on hot dogs.)
