It wasn't me who started that old crazy Asian war.
right on dude, this is what i am saying. you aint no "rube" if you say jai-row. you are a cool cat who dont give a damn about ****.
Never had Corey's. Never even heard of it. Where is it? Also if it isn't as good as Atcha you owe me a dollar.
i didnt even read hatch's post. i agree with him. you cant go talkin all smart. damn isnt corey the raghead or something who had great beer specials and sold gyros and stuff long ago. didnt know he was still around. initially he was right by tigerland then they moved to burbank then somewhere else. forgot the name of the place back then.
It's that liquor store in Tiger Land right next door to the Dominos Pizza. It was the best place to get kegs at. They had good gyros and burgers. It's actually the place where I had my first gyro. I looked it up to see if it is still there, and it is called Akasha Market now. But it apparently still has good gyros and burgers according to these people: Great place, perfectly in its niche, surrounded by drunken college students clamoring for a late night snack, or even a meal. Gyros and Burgers, cooked before your eyes (even displayed, raw and fresh, at the counter) are delicious. Akasha Market - Baton Rouge, LA, 70820 - Citysearch Akasha Market: some of us will remember it as Corey’s, but they still serve great gyros and good burgers Recommended Restaurants near LSU ? the Baton Rougean
Was it American Market? I hear that place makes some pretty tasty poboys, not sure about gyros. All this tasty food talk makes me homesick...
I have had Atcha's and Corey's, and still think the best is from a small place called Yeero Yeero in Shreveport. I am convinced it is a front for some sort of mafia, but their food is top notch.
i had a friend come from baton rouge to visit the other day and the brought me am mart. made my weekend. you know the wrong dude is making your sandwich if they spell your name correctly.
Just came back to BR for the weekend and had a gyro from Atcha and Akasha. Both were good but Atcha definitely takes it. It was greasier but still great nonetheless. The price is awesome as well.
