If you want a nicely done hockey puck with good sauce you got your place. Atomic Burger is very good, and one will open up soon. I suggest you check it out when it emerges in BR.

If you're older than me, you need to change your user name to dirt.

Love the Texas Double Burger worth the wait. Except for their breakfast never go to McDonalds. Used to love Buds Broiler when I lived in NOLA.

A Bud's just opened in Baton Rouge. The patty was not the same as I remembered from the Bud's in New Orleans. I posted this in the Good Eats forum after I ate there. Maybe I'll go there again and try a hot dog but until they start using the same kind of meat they used to I'm not getting the burger again.

I am talking 1963 Buds, havent eaten one since then. The chilli burger and the hot dog were fabulous. Best in Houston is Fuddruckers IMHO.

Before the other day the last time I ate at a Bud's was about 2007 at the one on Veteran's Hwy. It was still good then too. There use to be a Fuddrucker's in Baton Rouge but they closed. I liked that you could put your own fixings on it. I ate at one in Atlanta about 5 years ago and it was still good.

There was a place called The Beer Garden that had one of the best burgers I've ever had. I think it's closed now but it was on the road between Kemah and League City.
Another Houston area place for great burgers is The Outpost near NASA. The astronauts used to hang out there and there are pictures of them on the walls. Sally Ride's spacesuit is hanging from the ceiling.

I can't hear the name Sally Ride without thinking about Mustang Sally. I bet all the other astronauts used to sing it in her presence.
