I had heard a few months ago they were opening a Bud's Broiler in Baton Rouge. Google gives the address as 4343 Nicholson. I know where I'm going for lunch tomorrow.

I forgot all about it. Ate leftover spaghetti instead. Will go next week.

So many burgers could be elevated a huge amount just by being served on a toasted ciabatta bun instead of the standard mushy bread that most come with.

If you toadt the regular bun it won't be mushy. I hate these place that charge $10 for a burger and serve it on some kind of "artisanal" bread. You can't spell artisanal without being anal.

You obviously have never tried your burger on a ciabatta bun.

Bud's isn't open yet. Had a sign on the door saying waiting for inspection. Didn't see a date when they are opening. It's on the corner of Nicholson and Jennifer Jean where there used to be a Rotolo's.

Best burger is in my back yard next to a cold Shiner, watching my antelope graze in the pasture. That's America... right there.

Buds lives off their reputation. They may not be the best, but they're very satisfying and charcoal cooked.

I almost always get the number 4 with sauce and onions.
