I lived at Fairway view long time ago. I think everyone lived at Fairway View at some point. I agree that Raul's by LSU has an excellent burger, great service as well. Duvic's gives you a couple onion rings with your fries, a nice touch, incredible onion rings too.
The best Burger in the South is on my Charbroil. ****, I just made the best damn burgers ever. 3/4 lbs ground sirloin cooked barely on the hot side of medium, seasoned with Tony's Extra Spice, Garlic Powder, 6 Pepper Blend, and marinaded in Allegro with a slice of deli-cut mild cheddar. Buns buttered and toasted on the grill. If any place in BR makes a better burger than I just did I will eat them every meal for the rest of my life.
Allegro - Hickory Smoke Marinade, 12.7oz Rp 54,000.00 / pkg Allegro - Hot & Spicy Marinade and Seasoning, 12.7oz Rp 53,000.00 / pkg Allegro - Original Marinade, 12.7oz Rp 53,000.00 / pkg
Mainly a liquid marinade with soy sauce and lime juice as the main ingredients. I know it my sound like ****, but it's the best marinade on the market. About $2.50 a bottle.
i dunno about BR, but right down my street they just opened a fatburger. it is pretty good. i also like the name alot. they apparently arent into presenting themselves as a low calorie place. i give fatburger a thumbs up.
Fred Sanford was always talking about getting a fatburger. I wish they would open one in Baton Rouge.
I dont know about it being the best burger in town but Back Yard Burger (a fast food place off Seigen) has some good food.
