heh have eaten @ BD many times. Its a wonder the Board of Health hasnt shut that place down as it looks filthy but everyone loves their burgers. They arent near as good as they were many years ago yet still worth having.

Have to agree. Georges Southside burgers just aren't that flavorful. Perkins is definitely better.

Raol's over by the Chimes on Highland or Dearman's on Perkins. Dearman's has the best fries.

Roul's is by far the best burger I've had. I get it with grilled onions. Damn, I want one right now! Drink, seasoned fries, po-boy or burger 5.50 to go and 6 bucks to dine in. That includes tax. As you can tell, I'm a regular. Plus, Roul is free entertainment. He cracks me up when he raps in his accent.

    Fairway view Burgers 1
    Dearmans, Louis 2

I had a taste test with a few friends we ordered different burgers and sampled

Fairway views has the best flavor! Hands down unanimous winner
Dearmans and Louis 2nd both had great flavor

I find Georges meat tough, I used to love them don't know what happened
to their meat. Brewbachers no thanks, not even in the same league in my book.

I didn't know the Fairway View was still open. I haven't been there in years.

    Still Open

    Yes absolutely still open.
for those of you who don't know Fairway Apt's on College Drive has a clubhouse way at then end. It's a dark dive on Fridays you'll see politicians ex govenors, (But don't let that spoil your meal)!

They have pretty good plate lunches too and the Gumbo is probobly my favorite restaurant gumbo in town, (next to homecooked of course).

    Oh Yea,
For those of you who like the Perkins road Overpass area, Duvic's Burgers
are excellent, far superior IMO to Georges or Ivar's.

I'm not surprised that Duvic's burgers have a good reputation. Bertram, the cook at Duvic's, was a long-time cook and shift manager at Louies.

There is no question it is Raul's deli on Highland. It is right next to the bike shop and Serano's. It is the best burger by far. If you think that crap at Chee Burger is anygood treat yourself to a mega burger from Raul's. It has been voted the best burger in Baton Rouge 3 years running.

I haven't even thought about Fairway View in YEARS! I used to live next door in Bienville Towers when I got out of college (until I fell in love and moved to Dallas), and I occasionally got a burger there. They were really good.
