    Try the smoked boudin, too. The best places DO NOT oversmoke the boudin. Light smoking is bet for boudin.

    You're thinking of Saia's. I've heard great things about them, but have not been. Great big Hereford out front. A new one is Bergeron's on 22 west of Causeway Approach. Boudin is good, all types of cajun meats.

    Rouses has always had pretty good meat. The one by us on Hwy 22 has a pretty small produce department, so their selection is not the best. The one on Causeway Approach is bigger and has a better selection. It's just further for me to go so I don't.

    In New Orleans, Rare Cuts is pretty awesome. Definitely worth stopping in if you are in the city.

    In Pine Prairie they bar-b-que it. It surprised me how good it actually was.

    lol Yes, Turkey Creek is even smaller than Pine so it tickled me that you referenced Pine by using Turkey Creek.

    Hit the breaks when you go through both of those communities. They write tickets like crazy.

    Been around both areas. They do a good job with Boudin.
