My parents are huge Beatles fans and I became one eventually also. I'm not too crazy about a lot of their hits but it amazes me how many quality songs were recorded in such a relatively short period. I can listen to Abbey Road from beginning to end without skipping over any songs. Just to pick a favorite, I always turn up the dial for "I've Got a Feeling". I also really like that song "For you Blue" (I think that's the name) that is a couple of songs later on Let it Be. I play the piano a little and learned "You Never Give Me Your Money" with my favorite section starting with the verse 'Out of college, money spent, see no future, pay no rent". I was telling my friend the other day that I often have no idea what my favorite songs are about. My ears just decide whether I like the song or not.
I love In My Life. Also, here is a cool video of Get Back performed on a rooftop in London (even shows all the stunned people in the streets like WTF?). And here is a good video of A Day in the Life In My Life (Rolling Stone magazine ranked it the #23 best song of all-time) Get Back (hit #1 on charts across the world in 1968) A Day in the Life (Rolling Stone magazine ranked it the #26 best song of all-time)
The off-the-wall Beatles song I like is Maxwell's Silver Hammer
Very beautiful song. Even more sad, it became The Beatles' last number-one song in the United State in 1970 and was the last single released by the band.

Tons of good ones, but my favorite is Hey Jude for a special reason. My user name is my initials...........see the "J"
JL solo only. Imagine you enjoying a song that Lennon himself said was an "anti-religious, anti-nationalistic, anti-conventional, anti-capitalistic [song], but because it's sugar-coated, it's accepted." :yelwink2: PS yes I think it's a great song too. The only other JL song that comes close is Instant Karma.
