So let's talk 80's movies. I've been on an 80's movies kick for awhile now. And going back and watching them a lot of them are even better today than I remember. What are some of your favorites? Here are mine:

    Cannonball Run
    Smokey and the Bandit
    Predator
    Alien
    Terminator
    Breakfast Club
    Up in Smoke
    Major League
    Highlander
    Playing For Keeps

I'm sure I'll think of more or others will be listed, but my goal is go back and watch them all again.

I've recently watched Beverly Hills Cop, the whole Star Wars series, the Indiana Jones series, and Back to the Future. Groundhog Day was funnier a few weeks ago than I remembered it being. @tirk if anything the movies are better today, especially the comedies.

Those all hold up I agree. It's just quite a few I ended up regretting and tarnishing my naieve recollection.

Caddyshack is definitely funnier today than the first time I saw it....but I also get what Tirk is saying about sometimes it's better to leave well enough along

You have to watch the "behind the scenes" or whatever it is on Caddy shack and THEN watch the movie. Really puts a different spin on it

Id be scared to ruin my memories of fast times at Ridgemont high but ferris bueller holds up. Then again phoebe cates likely looks even better topless since it's the last we saw of her before kevin what's his name married her and locked her in his closet the last 30 yrs.
