WHen I took some Boston friends to the Ole Miss football game in Tiger Stadium this past season, they all marveled at the fact that Bertman walked thru the crowd before the game--and mentioned how they've NEVER heard of the AD going "mingle" with the crowd. So, kudos to Skip. Yes the Pontiff Classic is special...but it'll be there next year, and then some. Coach Girard only has but one chance to get her 1,000 victory. Besides, I'm SURE Skip has done more with the Pontiffs than what any of us will ever know....
this is how I feel about it - 1000 wins in any sport is a big deal it was not the first ever or only Pontiff Classic he (Skip) was there last year Skip has a personal relationship with the Pontiff's & the AD's office has lots of involvment with the game as a whole Condon's an idiot & I am glad he's not in listening range here in NOLA who can actually demonstrate that Condon was at the game himself Condon's an idiot :hihi:

Condon was alot more "shocking" back when he hit the airwaves 12-15 or so years ago. He was a clown and **** stirrer on am and when he and larry leblanc were at the tiger. as shocking as you can get for BR that is. certainly not on the level of stern or O&A but for small town menatlity BR he was a shock to some. He did piss Jamie Howard off enough that ol Jamie called in and threatened to whoop his ass. but I am sure you know that story. Atleast he is a shadow of the label shock jock. Yes his followin g may be smaller than otts and buddy but he definetly has a stronger audience than tsr. Hell he gets paid by the station and doesn't have to hustle his own dollar completely. That says something.
With a baseball from a standard pitcher's mound distance? ... or with a softball fast-pitched from a shorter distance? :wink:
