All the talk of the Saints playing at Tiger Staium is coming from Benson or the NFL, not from LSU. The Saints are a private organization and are not LSU's problem. Lots of businesses have been displaced. LSU can't provide a place for all of them. The Saints would disrupt LSU football which is disrupted enough already.
Umm, yes they do. I believe they may have played one game in the past few years at Tad Gormley, but all other home games (until last week) are still played in the Dome. http://tulanegreenwave.collegesports.com/trads/tul-trads-superdome.html
I think the Saints playing at LSU is a good idea. Let them pay the costs of running the game. As far as getting the stadium ready for a sunday game it can be done. It happens all the time.
they (the Saints) would probably have to re-sod the field around midseason. Gillette Stadium hosts the Patriots and the Revolution (MLS), and far the most part, their field holds up pretty good....albeit they DO have to re-sod at least once during the season. Whatever we do, I hope LSU NEVER gets that new turf.....just doesn't seem like football to me--ya know?
with the number of people that actually care about the Saints, let them play at Cajun Field. :hihi: They can have a single admission double-header; Saints at noon, Cajuns at 5:00. :thumb:
This does not happen all the time. LSU would have to run out all the RV's and tailgaters. Hotel space would also be difficult. No offense Saints fans, but LSU does not need the interuption. I'm sure there are some great people in the organization, Louisiana might feel great, .... but it would only prove to be a pain for LSU management.
Where? Not at LSU. This campus is a madhouse with the students back and now thosands of UNO students are enrolling here. Don't know where LSU is going to park them because the lots and the streets are full. Hurricane relief has other lots blocked. On top of all of that LSU has people coming down to the ticket office to get game vouchers for ASU. The population in Baton Rouge has doubled and all of the stores, banks, pharmacies, and gas stations have lines. Baton Rouge has done its part in the Hurricane recovery. Let the Saints find another spot. It's a big country.
Finally someone gets it. The jackass needs cover before making his move. "I have no choice Louisiana. Unless you get that Superdome declared a loss and have the Feds buy me a new one."
dont you think those are all problems that can be solved with money? i mean dont you think they can bring in concessions sunday morning if they are selling 90 thousand tickets? even if they dont sell out they should be able to sell more tickets than they could to the much smaller superdome. and why couldnt they sell beer? cant whoever decides just decide that it would be ok? the turf could be a problem, but i bet they could manage. maybe you are right and there are too many problems. i just like the idea of the saints in baton rouge. people from around the state could come and stay with friends in baton rouge and have awesome football weekend of lsu and saints. i would love to come down and do that.
