Good thing you are squared away pretty well. You will be commanding a Boy Scout troop in a few years, cooking at hunting camp, tailgating with coonasses, and finding new kinds of camaraderie.
Ha! Very much looking forward to it. I figure if @shane0911 handled it well enough, then I suppose I can manage.
Better wait for the jury on that one. Lol, I can tell you this much, not a day goes by that I don't roll out of bed and miss it like crazy. It never goes away.
Better wait for that jury....it can go away. Decades may still be an underestimate for healing the moral injuries and the emotional amnesia that follows but it isn't hopeless.
I was talking about missing being in the service. Not a day goes by that I don't wish I was still in.
I realize....my reply stands. Ignore the last comment of it if that helps. You are still young in the process. Down the road your feelings can and may change.
Well, so much for Benghazi conspiracy nut jobs and political hacks. Yet another investigation found the allegation to be bogus. This time the House Republicans! They waited until after the election and tried to be quiet about its release, but . . . House Intelligence Committee's Benghazi Report Torches Conspiracy Theories House panel finds no intelligence failure in Benghazi attacks Republican-led report debunks Benghazi theories and accusations
How long have you been out? Did you retire? I spent 20 years in the AF and retired in '86. Before I retired from my civilian job a couple of months ago, I told one of my coworkers that I probably couldn't last 20 days in todays AF. Night & day difference.
