You really do need to do some further research on this, and I mean outside the realm of right wing "journalism." Like him or not, Obama has better utilized special forces, combined with drones, to kill terrorists in a more effective way than ever before. Much of this is also owing to improvements in our intelligence community. That said, there is plenty of room to criticize Obama on other issues but I believe you are wrong to say he hasn't used special forces and drones very effectively against terrorist groups around the globe. IMO using these smaller, more mobile forces is a better approach than sending a three hundred thousand person army with tanks and artiliary.
I like the idea of smaller elite units myself. But if your gonna use them then give them the tools to do their job effectively. Don't hamper them with policies that will get them killed. And don't "leak" information about their missions for political gain.
