I don't think I ever spoke of impeachment. Hell I wasn't happy with Bush over the Patriot Act, among other shit like hiring a dumb ass as his second who shoots his friends bird hunting. I agree 100% that the two bases are more polarized than ever before and I am afraid you are also right that no true bipartisan compromise will happen until Obama is out of office. Sometimes it feels like one big game of "gotcha" rather than anything that resembles statesmanship. Like I said earlier, I tend to blame Republicans more because I think Obama has reached out a few times with what I considered to be moderate compromises, like chained CPI, that just get completely shot down by the Republicans rather than taking it as a token of good faith and reciprocating it with at least a counter offer.
