I agree wholeheartedly. Basketball is the easiest of the sports to come off of probation due to the impact only a couple of players can have. Many of the posters are very happy with the last 2 years, many are not and I am one of them. To make the NCAA tourney is not a big deal, a lot of avg. teams make it. We won't this year IMO.

As far as putting fans in the seats, LSU BB fans have to really be excited and Brady is not the type to get us very excited, his team is not very exciting and his pre-conference schedule absolutely stinks. Also, losing to a traveling team in an exhibition game does not endear you to the fans either. I can't believe we didn't recruit a shooting guard this year when the country was full of em. We need a zone buster or 2 on this team. He could look at the retuning lineup and see that need very easily.

i am not a brady-basher, and in a way i am satisfied with the last two years. i think that is as low as the program should go. maybe im stupid but i dont hold the earlier teams' records against brady because of the scholarship restrictions.

i dont keep up with high school basketball much so i dont know who was out there (especially in louisiana) to get, but i am disappointed in the lack of shooters on the team. although it does seem really bad to diss brady on the recruiting class when it has 3 great high school players.

the sos isnt bad. a lot better than some "better programs". it would be better to try to schedule some high profile teams to increase fan interest, but i do think there is some obligation to schedule some in-state schools.

I'm never been a Brady Basher,

But it'll be interesting to see if he decides to try and run some other types of offense after the 2nd loss in a row.

He's at the point Dinardo was a few years ago, which road will
    he take?

Is he going to try something new or is he going to sink with the
    ship?

The losses aren't really the main problem that I see developing, its the lack of offense and the lack of coaching adjustments that I see.

If we run a different offense and no better results than its time to
give some playing time to other players including Mr. Basketball.

I challenge anyone here to find a team worse offensively than this
    team anywhere in the world.

It won't happen, don't take what I say the wrong way.

The point I'm trying to make is the basic fundamentals are Shooting #1, Dribbling #2, its natural.

There's NO WAY this team can be that bad either.........

I think the problem is lack of coaching and adjustments.
Its up to the coach to make the proper adjustments so that he can get the most out of his kids.

If you have trouble scoring you have to run an offense and try to
figure out a way to get easier shots.

    Its called shot selection.

I did play basketball btw so I do know a little about it.

i think ive brought this up before, but what do you think about the idea that, to a degree, its better to stick to your guns and expect better execution of the offensive game plan (pun intended) than to scrap it at the first sign of trouble and install some O that no one on the YOUNG team knows.

i guess maybe brady should install more variety in practice---but what the hell do i know about what he does in practice

i actually dont think brady will ever be a world beater, but i was convinced a long time ago that he's a better coach than dale (hell, who isnt?). he teaches D and rebounding. and if he can continue recruiting, we will consistently be top-tier sec with a decent run in the NCAA tourney every so often.

I played college basketball in the past, NAIA Division3.

In practice we would go over motion offense as well as 3 other
    offensive sets.

Basketball isn't that hard to learn more than 1 offense, its nothing
like football and all the formations and disguises and 100 possibilities.

Your making basketball harder than it really is........

I would find it unbelievable that a Division 1 basketball program
would only know 1 offensive set.

    Basketball isn't that way.

I like John Brady and have stuck up for him in the past, Ask TE about that or anyone else here where I argued with them.

I'm very concerned, never mind wins and losses.

I don't see anything but players standing around on offense, no
rythum and worst of all, think about the Bama game, the offense
wasn't any better and we came close to losing that game.

So how many games has this been going on?

Something like this should've been fixed in the beginning of the season not mid point or the end.

Its really bad because we're well into the SEC season and our
team should be progressing and adjustments should've been made by the coaching staff after the Miss St game and 14 minutes
of dry spell in that game.
