I want brady to succeed, but here are some things that chap my hide:

    1. Obviously, the Offensive game plan. 14, 10, or consistantly going several minutes without a basket. This isn't high school anymore.

    2. Players consistantly go into the game flat. We have to get these guys ready mentally

    3. Ole Miss Game: 2 Ole miss players, I believe Harper and reed scored 80 percent of their points. Man was I crying "Where's the FREAK DEFENSE? Triangle and 2?" In the first half when they had 19 of their 23 pts. any coach I know would have gotten out of the man to man.

    4. No discipline. Forwards shooting 3's. Numerous turnovers and no benching. Hell, I'd rather see thompson get in there if he can handle the ball. The other guards are inconsistant scoring anyway.

You guys who are sticking up about Brady and losing a couple of
    games are missing the point.

The losses don't matter as much as the way we lost.

    Obviously,
If anybody here was the coach and had your team had offensive droughts like this team does, what would you do?

You certainly wouldn't run the same offense over and over and with no movement?

Its not normal for a basketball team to have a scoring drought of
14 minutes in 1 game and then 10 minutes in another.

Its not normal for this teams offense to be like they have from the
    Alabama game on.

Any Good coach would've fixed the problem or at least tried to run a different offense, If you can't score then at least you can
say you tried and changed things up.

We can't even beat the zone?

Go watch another basketball game, I was watching the NBA the
other night and you should've seen thier offense against the
    zone.

Basketball isn't as complex as football folks.

LSU shot 26% from 3's and 36% field goal % for the game.
when you don't have an offense and your that bad you lose.

Against state, Miss State they shot 60% from 3's and 50% for the game
and that with the 14 minute drought is why we lost.

It is 2 losses and it will be interesting to see if Brady can fix this.

But I am worried because how many games have we played since
    this has 1st started?

We don't have the type of team to play the inside outside game on offense.

You have to have big men who can pass out to shooters who can
    shoot from the outside.

    Like Shaq did for instance......

You are completely wrong about the second one that's for sure. Last year was a lucky run by a team that hit 70% of their 3's over a few games. You live to take 3's and not run an offense and you die young, just like the slaughter against Purdue. Being a second tier team in the SEC west, which is embarrassingly weak this year, is not what I call a successful BB program. And if you think we need guards, than why didn't he get a few. He is in charge of getting the players. I am not going wait till he has Collis Temple the 10th to start complaining.

From day one, I've thought that Brady (who looks like a chipmunk) has even less charisma than Al Gore or a doorknob--take your pick. Would you want that general to lead you into battle?

How long do we keep him around? I know (myself included) that LSU loves football first, football second, and then baseball. But enough is enough! We should also strive to have a perennial top 25 basketball team. I think Tiger fans would be satisfied with that, as long as we made it into the top 10 and Final Four now and again. Heck, I'll bet we'd even like to win a basketball NC at some point in our history.

Under Brady, I do not see that happening.

This team has shown some ability (look at the Arkansas, Alabama and Utah games) and showed a lot of spark after falling 18 down to Miss St and battling back to make it interesting until the last minute. I won't get down on the team as a whole yet because I believe they will recover. Brady has proven to be able to take on the good teams with the right people as shown in the 1999-2000 season. I will wait a few more games to see if things right themselves. I mean the way it looked to me the shots from the outside were good looks but they just were not falling. How can a coach fix that? It is up to the players to hit the outside shots to break the zone and allow the inside to open up. Now free throw shooting is another animal. Every damn player on that team would have been on the court today shooting free throws. We shoot 75% from the line last night and we win. Simple as that.

And we still only score 56 points or so, not good enough. And since we have been shooting like that the whole year I would think we would try other ways to score than launching 3's.

last years team was GOOD not lucky! you cannot win seven straight sec games by luck (or maybe you think this years football team was lucky winning 7 in a row). in those seven games they shot 50% from 3pt, but never less than 30%. they were more than good shooters they were a good team. it took them a while, but they learned how to pass. that was the key. they actually had a couple of games where almost every basket came from an assist. ive never heard of anything like that. i enjoyed watching last years team more than any other lsu basketball team.

your right about the guards. brady is responsible for them, but not every player will be a gamer. its just at other schools that recruit well every year you can just go to someone else. who can brady go to when hudson is sleepwalking---josh maravich or charlie hustle, cmon. i hate to break it to you, but the program is not one of the FEW that can handle losing 3 starters without a letdown.

You guys can talk about last years game and players but that doesn't matter.

Its obvious to this point that John Brady can't make the proper
adjustments to get the offense flowing and things happening
on that side of the ball.

Its not that hard to run an offense with motion and find a way to
get an easier shot within 45 seconds.

Worst case scenario if you still have trouble scoring you still should be able to score more than this team does.

I haven't heard anybody mention this yet, so I'll throw my 2 cents in. Can somebody please explain to me the starting lineup?!?!?

How in the world do you start Hudson and Regis at this point....I know you give up alot of size with Mitchell and Minor, but at least they have the potential to SCORE!!

Minor can be unbelievable if you let him play and take the handcuffs off. Seems to me the best thing this team can do is to let Minor slash and do his thing and dish it out if he has nothing. Mitchell sits on the corner and Bass and Jamie are down low.

I just cringe every time I see Regis and Hudson in the game shooting. Can somebody explain it to me? I've thought this since the beginning of the season, and the point was made a little more clear after the Alabama game.....

    Just drives me nuts
