Actually they know very little about LSU... Most of the LSU slurring is started by the USC lurkers on their board who do nothing but stir the pot and tell OSU fans how bad the LSU fans are.:cuss:
Re: Actually they know very little about LSU... USC posters have a lovefest with Auburn posters going on over on their boards. Guess where they get the "corndog" business and the fan behavior non-issue from. Why, from our old friends, the Auburn Plaineagles, of course.
What type of lovefest? If you cant beat em-join em? Looks like I'll have some villain buds coming. Some of those corndogs are lodged so far up, they aint coming out. On some of the other derogatory threads on the board, it was Trojans starting the S*&T.
Just remember, the Beavers posting on that board are NOT the Beavers who will be traveling to BR. That's a long trip, and only the supporters with $ will be coming down (assuming that ole Dan Rad. can book'em). So, let them talk on the boards. Just give the visitors some of that LSU hospitality when they get here. Those people in the NW are some of the coolest around. Don't let those few turds stink it up for ya'll.

Some of the best seafood, coffee, & awesome microbrew beer in the USofA can be found in Oregon. It is a beautiful and peaceful place, especially along the coast. Most of the folk up there are pretty cool, too. However, the football there leaves A LOT to be desired. I trust their knowledge of football about as much as I trust a Louisiana microbrewed beer. OK, Abita's not THAT bad...
Two things. 1. The only thing bad about Abita is the hangover if you drink it to excess (Purple Haze in particular). 2. In addition to Abita, the Crescent City Brewhouse does an outstanding job with its microbrews. I don't know how it would stand up in a bottle on the shelf, but fresh off the tap, that is some mighty fine brew. And a 3rd for good measure, if you have ever had Fat Tire, that is some awesome stuff too. Hard to find it in La, though. Closest I have seen it is in Houston.
I used to love Fat Tire when it was a microbrew (I had it in Colorado). But at some point they were bougt by Anheiser Busch and it changed a little (for the worse). JMO
Captainpodnuh: Have been slurping & brewing micro beer for 20 years. Crescent City is good. I was there in April 2002 and agreed, it's not bad. Fat Tire is no better than any of the GREAT brews out here. When I'm in Houston, St. Arnold's is the best. Their Christmas beer is unbelievable. GO TIGERS!
bayareatiger, Haven't had the good fortune of being on the left coast. Have some close friends who moved out there, and my wife's cousin just got back home after being stationed at Ft. Lewis for a while. Have to take your word on the great microbrews of the left coast. Will plan to drink some when I get over there.
