Lady tigers got off to big lead, but tenn has come back to make it a closer game. LSU 21-16 6min left 1H
Ok, Pokey suffering from being a rookie coach. How in the hell do you not backcourt press the inbounds pass with only 7 seconds left? She will learn, hopefully, soon enough. In case you not watching, Tennessee was inbounding the ball from under theirown goal with only 7 seconds left in the first half and the point guard was allowed to take it down court undefended and allowed to pass it to someone who drained a 3 with 1 second on the clock.
Playing Tenn always made me nervous..whether it was La. Tech (of which I'm a fan too) or LSU...and after last year it has been reinforced even more. The shot at half time sucked too I think we'll come out strong and win the game in the 2nd half, I have faith in this team and their resolve although I don't discount Tenn's resolve either.
This game is a good measuring stick for how far Pokey has come along. I think LSU has the best talent in the country, but I am leary of a rookie head coach not making the correct calls or adjustments. And it has shown at times in this game. Hopefully by the time the tourney comes around, she will be better at game time adjustments.
this one will obviously go down to the wire. 2 great teams. LSU up 5 with the ball so I will wait to say up by 7 before posting. ok up 7.
while i think you are cond guessing on the rest of her coaching, mentioning rookie mistakes, etc I do agree with that one in particular. coaching 101. no free looks with 7 seconds or uncontested ball handlers.
Beautiful! I love watching teams that play well together and utilize technical screens and passes. I liked watching Princeton play, and wish LSU would hire coach like Caril even though it would mean less 'exciting' play for most. I find great fundamental basketball highly entertaining...mainly because you WIN!
