Les Miles era. Any problem with that? I plan on expanding it back to 2000 or 2001, just to see where LSU sits. I would suspect it's Ohio State, OU, LSU, USC, Texas, Virginia Tech, Florida. In that order.
No, just curious why it stopped there. I'd be more interested in seeing where LSU stacks up since 1998 since there was LSU football before Les Miles arrived...
At some point, I am going to expand it to 2000, when Saban arrived. LSU has a .787 winning pct since 2000. 122-33. That's about the equivalent of slightly more than 10 wins and 2 1/2 losses a season. So we would definitely be top 5. To think that out of the 33 losses, these 10 should not have happened, for various reasons (officiating, last second miracles, inexcusable performance, etc). 2000 UAB 2002 Arkansas 2004 Auburn and Iowa 2005 Tennessee 2006 Auburn 2007 Kentucky and Arkansas 2008 Arkansas 2009 Ole Miss Add on these close 1 score losses as well 2001 Tennessee 2008 Alabama 2009 Penn State 2010 Auburn and Arkansas Pretty amazing run. Individual Records: OOC 42-2 Alabama 9-3 Auburn 7-5 Arkansas 7-5 Ole Miss 9-3 Miss State 12-0 Florida 6-6 Tennessee 6-2 Georgia 3-3 South Carolina 4-0 Vandy 4-0 Kentucky 5-1 Bowls 8-3
Updated through Saturday's games. The margin is widening. It's LSU and then everybody else. Just like the 2011 season.
And I believe that when we beat Bama in the BCS championship that Miles will pass Saban in career winning percentage too.
Individual Records: OOC 42-2 Alabama 9-3 Auburn 7-5 Arkansas 7-5 Ole Miss 9-3 Miss State 12-0 Florida 6-6 Tennessee 6-2 Georgia 4-3 South Carolina 4-0 Vandy 4-0 Kentucky 5-1 Bowls 8-3 Beat Florida next year, and we'll have a winning record against every SEC team. This is since the turn of the century, not Les Miles era.
Les and Co really need to seal the deal Jan 9th. That 3rd BCS Championship since 2003 is HUGE! :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
I hate USC with a passion!!! But two teams have really grinded my gears this year 1) WVU- did anyone else notice how much their coach complains and how much he looks like "Buffalo Bill" from the movie Silence of the Lambs!! Crazy!!! 2) Bama- because of their fans who else in this country does love them...Tosh.O who is gay-in a happy way, hates you, you know your doing something wrong!!!
It's going to rival the 4 that Miami won in the same period of time (9 years). They had no conference championship and only 2 or 3 tough games all season (remember they played in a weak Big East).
