I love it when the worries and confidences of an LSU fan have nothing to do with the opponent. The old "we can only beat ourselves mentality". Ask Florida and Oklahoma how that worked out for them. They were both supposed to win big. Looks like a whole lot of overconfidence to me. I hope the LSU team has the exact same worries and forgets to focus on the opponent.
I thought it was appropriate. Ever since Nick gave up that game winning pass to Iowa, they have sucked big time. Your Hawkeyes haven't done squat since that (fluke) play. So, in essence, LSU has sent 3 programs down the tubes.
Great original post by Red -- and a lot of others added some great points concerning other valid worries and confidences in regard to this game on the 7th. I look forward to seeing other posters point out even more worries and confidences that haven't been mentioned yet...
I would suspect that most of us have only seen osu play a time or two this year. So it is hard to evaluate a team based on limited viewing. Me, I have only seen osu play once this year -- Illinois. What do you want, me to worry that osu suddenly learns how to stop 10 QB draws in row??
Worries: 1) Penalties 2) Dropped passes 3) Missing open WR in the passing game 4) Poor tackling Confidences: 1) The "competitive spirit" of this team 2) Senior leadership 3) We're going for it on 4th and short in tOSU territory 4) We will mix it up on "O"... power run/option run, screen pass/deep ball 5) Heck, Miles might go for the jugular on the very first play 6) We're healthy - We'll play better and faster than our last 4 or 5 games. :crystal: :champs: :crystal: :champs: :crystal:
I don't think it'll matter unless they're all blind. As Red pointed out, this penalty thing ain't new. I hope we're improved though.
Funny cause I seem to remember that Pellini blitzed against UK and the guy that scored the game winning TD was wide open in the end zone.
