In a word, Dothan, yes. Click the link for a more detailed analysis for the scenario where Syracuse and LSU both win. http://www.tigerforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=9531
Its on ESPN. Here's a link to a listing of all games this weekend. http://www.nationalchamps.net/2003/sub/tv_listings/week15.htm
I have not seen a tv listing for the Boise St/Hawaii game anywhere as of yet, so still hopeful. Here are the times for the other important games: Dec. 6 Sat. Notre Dame at Syracuse Carrier Dome Syracuse, N.Y. 12:00 p.m. ABC Dec. 6 Sat. Oregon State at USC Memorial Coliseum Los Angeles 3:30 p.m. ABC
Thing is that, these games (played by the other teams) are no more important than ones that were played during the season. However, since these are the games that are left, they just seem to have more importance. I'm not a fan of a playoff format, but I have to say I don't like way of deciding who should be #2 either. Resting your hopes on teams with losing records, is not exactly a fun thing to think about when you are getting ready to play a team who sold their SEC rings last year.
You are correct. If LSU and USC both win this weekend you can go back and look at any number of games that would have swung the SOS enough one way or another. The most glaring example of that is the Alabama-Hawaii game. However, because these are the only games left, these are the most important ones.
As I said early in this thread, the BCS is a bunch of nonsesne. I agree with you completely as would most colege football fans anywhere. To me college football is all about bleeding purple and gold and cheering on LSU. Which is exactly what we all do each and every day! Grrrr.... I remember the Ebay auctions for those rings too. How pathetic. :/
Well go Boise State! Where is the game being played at? I watched the Boise State/Nevada game on and off this passed weekend and with that blue field, I kept wanting to adjust my TV settings.
