Then why play the game? It sure meant a lot at the time and whoever broadcasted the game sure did so. I don't know what the factors are taken into account with this current system. All I know is that we both can agree that there is a current problem with the system and it needs to be fixed. I hope our bcs guru don't mind that I re-post his post in this thread. This is pretty hard to argue with here. Anyway, everyone that I have watched says the SEC is the number 1 conference in the land and we won the SEC West division and the SECCG so yes, we deserve to play for number 1 even if it is by default, because WV and Mizzou choked.

Hey, this entire season has been one long Kafkaesque fart in the face of reason and sanity. But I agree, no NC games between two teams in the same conference.
Additionally, ESuckPN just noted that USC has only 2 victories against winning % teams this year. Weak. But they are looking good now. Mark May came out and said OU should get the 2nd spot, so the dissension and diversity of opinion is starting to rise. Whoever gets the 2nd spot is going to get a lot of crap slung their way. Even tOSU will get crap slung their way. I just hope we can get to the 2nd spot, because if we can do that, I can tune that other **** out. :geaux:
Without a doubt the SEC is the BEST conference in the Nation. I just get tired of seeing you guys beat each other up every year on CBS. Some new blood would be nice from time to time. The past 4 years we have played Oklahoma, Nebraska, Michigan, Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Auburn...soon to Ohio State. Unlike the Big 10, I guess we can make a case that we go out and try to play quality opponents.
I agree with you, I was pleased we played VT this year for that reason. I get tired of the cupcake games and I would like to play OU, Ohio State or any Pac 10 team from time to time. I gotta hand it to you! You guys schedule is about as tough as Fresno State! out of conference schedule!:lol: I wish SEC teams did that a little more also. Speaking of SEC and CBS I'm sick of seeing ND on NBC, what a joke! They won 2 games this year and everyone is televised, NBC ratings have to be down this year!
