Georgia loses big time in the computer polls. Missouri will stay ahead of them in some of the polls. LSU and Virginia Tech is passing them in all computer polls. OU will now pass them in some of the computer polls. They took a gigantic hit in the computer polls. LSU should rank #2 in the computer polls, sligthly behind Vtech at #1. Ohio State will be #3 and Kansas #4. Georgia could easily end up about #6 (close race between GA, OU, Missouri, and USC for the next 4 positions). This one comes down to LSU or VTech. Georgia is out based on computer polls. They can only lose the gap they gained in the human polls now. And it won't take a great boost to LSU and Vtech to surpass them.
This is why the system sucks. Putting Georgia in there would be a travesty. It did not make sense to me that we would fall to #7 to begin with. I won't restate what others have regarding how different polls might shake out tomorrow (later today actually). Of course I'm biased; it seems that LSU has the most logical and compelling argument, but since when did logic apply? :geauxtige
Actually, Stanford finished the season 5-7, and was 1 game away from a 6-6 season. Last year (2-10) they were garbage, but they have made strides. I am not making any excuses for the loss, it is what it is...........but who are the best 2 teams right now in the top 10? Who does LSU feel they should play to prove their #1? Or I should say....if you could pick, who wold it be?
I would be insulted (and I think most Tiger fans would) if VTech went to the NC over LSU. But that would just add to the case of how screwed up the BCS is.
Following this logic, then doesn't LSU pass VT based on our 48-7 thrashing of them? I know it was very early in the year; however, wouldn't the head-to-head result carry at least some weight? :geauxtige
How come there aren't any PAC 10 vs SEC games shceduled during the regular season or in the bowl games?
