FWIW, LSU was nearly 100 points behind Georgia in the coaches' poll. I'll be surprised if we pass them. I don't know what to make of the Harris poll, but Georgia had a pretty good lead there too (about 75% of the coaches). I am guessing the extra win will push LSU past Georgia on the computers. So, the Harris is the key. Also, since Va Tech was ahead of LSU on the computers and beat a higher ranked opponent today, aren't they likely to stay ahead? LSU should stay ahead in the Harris poll, so it comes down to the coaches. So, what happens if the coaches go Georgia-Va Tech-LSU, the Harris goes LSU-Georgia-Va Tech, and the computers go Va Tech-LSU-Georgia? What a mess.
No disrespect to you either but we shouldn't be playing USC or Va Tech. We killed Va Tech in September and you guys lost to a Stanford team that isn't very good. You could counter that we lost 2 games in triple OT to Kentucky and R-Kansas but they were definitely better than Stanford. I will agree that the system is a mess, however. This makes no since, where is your logic? We blew out Va Tech, Kansas sos probably wasn't anywhere close to ours. We beat Florida, Auburn and Va Tech so you think they should be ahead of us? Yep, we know, you must think Auburn and Florida suck? Georgia is a different story but answer me this, how is an undefeated Auburn get left out of the championship game? I agree with your last statement however we jumped a Va Tech team once again that we blew out at the beginning of the season. Your logic and thinking is just as flawed as the bcs system and thats no bs.
Are you kidding me............I am hoping we get an SEC team just to make this season interesting and competitive. I have no interest in a lackluster BIG 12, or BIG 10 team. The SEC is where the competition is at. We've already played Michigan twice, @Nebraska (on a down year) played @ Va Tech, @ Arkansas. We just want to play the best team out there. It's a shame that OSU is giving you the championship
Forgive me...........I totally forgot that you guys played Va Tech at the beginning of the season. But yeah, my excuse to Stanford is that Booty played with a broken finger causing him to throw 4 int's in the 2nd half. But that was then, ad this is now, and I admit it is what it is.
LSU vs USC would be a great game. And I do agree USC is decidedly better than OSU right now. Virginia Tech should have another shot at LSU, if I had to vote right now. Their body of work and how they finished the season puts them at #2 in my overall poll based on the entire season.
Most of the idle coaches who watched the Kentucky-Tennessee game saw Tennessee be given a free TD on a dropped pass during the second OT. Ironic that a group of refs who manipulated which team from the SEC East would make it to the SEC CG might have inadvertently put Georgia in a position to play for the MNC.
how do YOU justify being in when USC LOST to Stanford, who is absolute garbage... When your only arguement for why someone shouldn't be in the game is citing how ugly their wins against ranked opponents are, then you have a problem.
