Ken Massey has always been "fair" and good toward LSU in the past ... even having LSU ranked #1 above USC two years back ... he's got us #11 with the 57th ranked schedule in the country. I believe the truth about LSU's strength is somewhere between their current ranking (#3) and Massey's ranking, prolly around # 7 or so ... we're very fortunate to be #4 BCS. LSU has failed to be a dominant team offensively in 2005 despite the promising Ole Miss result ... whether you want to admit it to yourself or not! It ... conservative play, lack of a vertical passing game, etc ... has cost LSU! Don't cry about the poor computer rankings ... Just bomb away at the coach on Wednesdays. With only a few (maybe 4) long balls thrown against Ole Miss ... one or two again this week for scores ... will that be enough to run the table ... LSU has to continue to open it up and threaten teams with that vertical game ... and win big the rest of the way against much better teams than Ole Miss to get any Computer Help and finish in the Top 5 (Computers) ... and the team knows it. I wanna see close to 10 long balls (25+ yds) a game thrown by LSU out of 60-70 plays, double that thrown in the Ole Miss game.
Wait a minute, the BCS isn't perfect? On a similar note, is it possible to whine any more about something over which we have absolutely no control? Win all the games, and then whine. Until then, enjoy the ride.
