A particularly violent weekend in Baton Rouge. 7 shot at a club, 4 die in murder spree and numerous shooting and stabbings. Continued on yesterday when a woman with a gunshot wound was found walking along I-10 near the bridge. The suspect was shot by a Mississippi cop when he tried to rob a gas station in Woodville.

I saw a story in the Advocate a few days ago, don't know where the link is now. A man was about to go on trial for a double murder. According to his girlfriend who helped dump the bodies and now will testify against him he and GF and the 2 now dead guys were doing drugs while driving somewhere between Baker and Zachary when the alleged killer got paranoid and shot the other 2 men dead. They then drove home where they got some sheets to cover the bodies and drove to some remote place and left the sheet covered bodies in a car. There was a picture of the accused. There was more tattooed space on his face than white skin. If he had been latino I would have thought MS13 but he was white so no telling. Now here comes the funny part. His lawyer says that he is looking for jurors who won't be prejudiced against his client because of the facial tattoos. HA HA HA HA. Good luck with that.
